Tax Advice and Planning

The Firm’s partners have been planning tax efficient transactions involving U.S. and multi-national acquisitions, dispositions, financings and intragroup transactions since 1969. U.S. federal, state and international tax planning and transactional advice for international companies account for a large percentage of the Firm's tax practice.

We advise on the tax aspects of virtually all facets of our clients’ businesses, from mergers and acquisitions and complex leasing transactions to issues involving capitalization, depreciation, compensation, and complex trusts. All of our clients are large international companies and high net worth individuals, so we regularly analyze the effects of transactions across multiple tax systems, including advice on how to implement and document transactions.

We draw on our audit and litigation experience to advise how best to present issues on tax returns and on audit. Neither the I.R.S., Inland Revenue nor any other taxing authority has ever challenged a tax strategy that we have developed.
